Drivers traveling on State Road 417 (Central Florida GreeneWay) should prepare for overnight ramp closures next week as part of the ongoing SR 417 Capacity Improvements Project. The Central Florida Expressway Authority (CFX) has announced multiple closures between March 23-27, 2025, to accommodate paving and bridge work.

Scheduled Ramp Closures & Detours:

🚧 Sunday, March 23 & Tuesday, March 25 (9 PM – 5 AM)

  • Closed: Ramp from SB SR 417 to Narcoossee Road (Exit 22)
  • Detour: Continue south on SR 417 to Lake Nona Blvd (Exit 19)

🚧 Monday, March 24 (10 PM – 5 AM)

  • Closed: Ramp from NB SR 417 to SR 528 (Exit 26)
  • Detour: Continue north on SR 417 to Lee Vista Blvd (Exit 27)

🚧 Wednesday, March 26 (9 PM – 5 AM)

  • Closed: Ramp from NB SR 417 to Dowden Road (Exit 24)
  • Detour: Continue north on SR 417 to Lee Vista Blvd (Exit 27)
  • Note: Tolls for this detour will be suspended

🚧 Thursday, March 27 (9 PM – 5 AM)

  • Closed: Ramp from Dowden Road to NB SR 417
  • Detour: Travel south on SR 417 and exit at Moss Park (Exit 23)

Motorists are encouraged to use caution in work zones for their safety and that of construction crews. Closures are subject to change due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.

The SR 417 Capacity Improvements Project aims to enhance traffic flow and reduce congestion from International Drive to SR 528. Construction began in February 2021 and is expected to be completed by early 2025.
