A bicyclist was fatally struck by a pickup truck Tuesday morning on Kissimmee Park Road just east of the intersection of Lake Tohopekaliga Rd. in St. Cloud, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
According to FHP’s news release, the bicyclist traveling eastbound on Kissimmee Park Road on the right side of the road ahead of a Ford F-250 driven by a 56-year-old St. Cloud man. The pickup truck hit the bicyclist knocking him off his bike and into the shoulder. The man on the bicycle was pronounced dead at HCA Florida Healthcare Osceola. Troopers said they are trying to identify the victim, who was not carrying an ID. The crash report said the bicyclist was wearing a helmet but the bicycle had no lights.
Further details about the crash have not been released.
The FHP said Lake Tohopekaliga Road was blocked in the area.
