The Toho Water Authority (Toho) has issued a precautionary boil water advisory for customers residing in specific areas of Canoe Creek Road and Bayview Lane following a water line break. The affected areas include the Canoe Creek Road region south of Pine Tree Drive between Cord Avenue and the Florida Turnpike, as well as customers in the Bayview Lane area.
In addition, Toho has extended the advisory to include customers on Cord Avenue, north of Pine Tree Drive. The advisory will remain in place until further notice.
Advisory Details
As a precautionary measure, Toho advises all affected customers to boil water for at least one minute prior to use for consumption purposes, including drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes. Alternatively, bottled water can be used during this period. Water used for laundry or bathing does not require boiling.
The advisory was issued in response to a water line break that occurred in the area, which could potentially affect water quality. Toho is actively monitoring the situation and will lift the advisory once it is safe to do so.
