More free testing for coronavirus will take place at eight locations in Osceola County this week, from Poinciana to Kissimmee to St. Cloud to Holopaw.
Beginning tomorrow, Monday June 8, FREE COVID-19 testing will begin at Prescriptions Unlimited in St. Cloud from 9am-1pm Monday – Friday. The testing is taking place in partnership with the Florida Department of Health in Osceola County and is located at 2521 13th Street, Suite A in St. Cloud, and appointments are not required.
Testing will be offered on a first come, first served basis with a limited number of tests available. There are no testing criteria for the test.
“FDOH-Osceola is excited about this new partnership which creates additional testing access within the County. We will continue to explore and expand partnerships, such as this, to increase testing options in our community.” said Vianca McCluskey, FDOH-Osceola Administrator.

Two other testing sites in Osceola County are permanent or semi-permanent. The Florida Department of Health in Osceola County (1875 Fortune Road, Kissimmee) has testing available Mondays and Fridays for anyone experiencing symptoms or with concerns about COVID-19 exposure by appointment only. Also, through a partnership with Walmart, Quest Diagnostics and Osceola County, drive-through testing is available at the Walmart Supercenter at 3250 Vineland Road (State Road 535) in Kissimmee. The site is open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 7-10 a.m. Testing is for adults who meet CDC and state and local guidelines on who should be tested, including first responders, health care providers and others with symptoms of COVID-19 and those in high risk groups without symptoms. - Tuesday, June 9, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Holopaw Community Center, 8801 Community Center Road.
- Wednesday, June 10, and Thursday, June 11, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Kissimmee Civic Center, 201 E. Dakin Avenue.
Osceola Community Health Services will have testing available at three sites from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for local residents by appointment; call 407-943-8600 to arrange it, there are limited appointments available.

Testing is a key way to derive data in Osceola County to see how the coronavirus is spreading or manifesting itself in our community. Over 15,500 tests have been performed so far, with 4.7 percent returning positive, lower than the 5.4 percent statewide average.
