Positively Osceola would like to congratulate Osceola County School Board Member Tim Weisheyer for being elected as President-Elect for the Florida School Boards Association (FSBA), a nonprofit corporation providing a collective voice for the elected school boards in Florida. As President-Elect, Mr. Weisheyer will work at the local, state, and national level to champion for increased student achievement through the development of effective school board leadership and advocacy for public education. He will serve as FSBA President-Elect for 2018-2019 and then FSBA President for 2019-2020.
“For years, I have been sharing the message about the difference education can make in the life of a child, a family, and a community and advocating for policies that support the same,” said Tim Weisheyer.  “I am honored to provide the visionary leadership needed as President-Elect to enhance the organization’s service to its members and to strengthen its influential voice on educational issues, which will positively affect Osceola County and Florida.  To the position, I will bring my experience as a principled decision-maker, a seasoned School Board member, a successful business owner, and a committed community leader with the skills and foresight to know what and how things need to be done in order to improve educational success at all levels.”
The official vote and Installation of the organization’s officers took place at the FSBA Annual Summer Conference on June 14, 2018, at the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay.
