This year’s New Year’s Eve block party will once again take place in Downtown St. Cloud and will begin with the first band scheduled to take the stage at 6 pm; with live music throughout the event until the closing performance. “Wilted Chilis” will kick off the exciting event musically, followed by “Red Hot Rooster”, then “Doubting Abby” and finally the featured headliner “Tobacco Rd Band” which will bring in the new year as the “Cloud Drops!” The event will officially end at 1am.
Positively Osceola will be covering the event LIVE – bringing as much of the event possible to the community online… but the place to be will be downtown St. Cloud where all the action will be taking place!
The main stage for this event will be at the intersection of 10th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue A second stage will be located at the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue and 12th Street set back on the west corner of 12th Street. Street closures will begin on Saturday, December 30th at the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue and 10th Street for stage setup around 4 pm. Additional closures will begin at 6am on December 31st. Pennsylvania Avenue from 9th Street to 13th Street (HWY 192) as well as the alleyways will be closed for the duration of the event. Portions of Pennsylvania Avenue will re-open after the event and entirely open by 12 pm on Monday, Jan. 1, 2018.
Limited public parking and handicap parking areas will be available in the downtown area on New York Avenue, Massachusetts Avenue, and the City Hall parking lot.
Tickets are not required for this free-admission event.
