On Saturday, the Rotary Club of Kissimmee West did what they do best, care about others in the community, and they did it with the help of the Osceola Council On Aging. The volunteers from both organizations came together to help and encourage homebound here Vinnie, who is retired Army!

The Osceola Council Aging has overseen the “Helping Homebound Heroes” program for years, which focuses on caring for local Veterans who need help in maintaining safe living arrangements. According to the U.S. Census, there are 18,385 veterans residing in Osceola, many who need help to eat in healthy ways, live in a safe and healthy environment, and interact with others on a consistent basis.

The Rotary Club of Kissimmee West’s motto “service above self” was one again exemplified with their selfless actions to help Army Veteran Vinnie and his wife Marilyn.

Positively Osceola would like to thank the Rotary Club Kissimmee West, the Osceola Council On Aging, and all that contributed in making a Positive Difference in and around Osceola County!
