The Rotary Club of St. Cloud, was chartered March 10, 1959, and is a service organization known for its excellent community-based initiatives that promote the “Service Above Self” Rotary philosophy. This year the Rotary of St. Cloud is hosting the 36th Annual Spring Fling Event, April 5 -7th, as a way for the organization to have some fun with the community while raising funds for their community-centered organization.

Rotary Club of St. Cloud is filled with compassion and care for the people in St. Cloud neighborhoods and beyond, and is a club with over 20 members that represent various industries of business throughout the community with a common goal, caring for and serving others in the community they live in.

Highlights for the 36th annual Spring Fling Event include a full Carnival all weekend, Movie Under the Stars (new Spiderman Movie) Friday Night, April 5th, Craft and local business vendors on Saturday, April 6th, with a Bass fishing tournament, Amateur craft beer competition, Poker Tournament, and Live entertainment Saturday evening.

Also taking place on Saturday, and new to Spring Fling this year is a Touch-a-Truck area, where kids will have the opportunity to “get up close” to police and fire vehicles (including the Sheriff’s helicopter), military vehicles, and even a construction vehicle.

A Truck Show will take place on Sunday, April 7th, with over 50 specialty trucks and cars on display throughout the day.  There will have a DJ playing music all day Saturday (right up to when the live bands start) and on Sunday.

“This is a great community event where families can come out and enjoy many events all weekend, most are free of charge. We have Movie Under the Stars on Friday; local vendors, Touch-a-Truck and live entertainment on Saturday; and a Truck Show on Sunday all at no cost to our community. Other events include a Carnival all weekend: Bass Tournament, Poker Tournament and Amateur Beer Tasting competition all on Saturday. All the proceeds from this fun weekend go right back into the community.”
