SeaWorld has been busy at work adding a new children’s area to the park, a re-creation of the beloved children’s educational TV series Sesame Street. This 6-acre area will be open to the public on March 27th according to SeaWorld.

The re-creation of Sesame Street will be on the site of the former Shamu’s Happy Harbor play area and will feature the famed street scene including the familiar stoop of 123 Sesame Street. Enjoy story time with Big Bird at his nest, get up close and personal at the meet-and-greets with Muppets, visit Mr. Hooper’s store, all at SeaWorld’s Sesame Street.

SeaWorld also has re-themed some of their rides introducing Super Grover’s Box-Car Derby coaster, Abby’s Flower Tower ride and Rubber Duckie Water Works play area. Elmo’s Window will feature interactive elements that will let children’s imaginations run wild as they can play, dance, and sing with Elmo and friends.

“This is an attraction that guests of all ages are going to love,” said Mark Pauls, president of SeaWorld Orlando

Sesame Street will be the first major addition to SeaWorld Orlando since family raft ride, Infinity Falls opened last year. The debut of SeaWorld’s Sesame Street roughly coincides with the 50th anniversary of the first broadcast of “Sesame Street.”

Positively Osceola has been invited to preview its new Sesame Street at SeaWorld Orlando on March 26th, so keep an eye out and get ready to wow your kids with SeaWorld’s newest park feature!
