Osceola County’s rodeo tradition rides strong into the new year as the Silver Spurs Club announces a full slate of events for 2026, led by Spurs Big Boss Kaye Whaley, combining competitive rodeo action, long-standing traditions, and a continued dedication to giving back to the community it calls home.
From parades and specialty bull riding events to championship PRCA rodeos spread throughout the year, the Silver Spurs Rodeo season once again offers something for fans of all ages, beginning this February in Downtown St. Cloud.
Rodeo Season Kicks Off With Parade in Downtown St. Cloud
The 2026 season officially gets underway with the Silver Spurs Rodeo Parade, stepping off at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 14, in Downtown St. Cloud.
The parade traces its roots back to the early days of the Silver Spurs Club, when it was created as a modest promotional event for the rodeo itself. In its earliest years, the parade traveled through Downtown Kissimmee along Broadway, drawing residents who lined the streets to cheer, connect with neighbors, and celebrate Osceola County’s agricultural and western heritage.
Today, the parade rides through Downtown St. Cloud each February and continues to grow as a signature community event. The procession typically features equestrian groups, marching bands, vintage vehicles, rodeo royalty, and local organizations, transforming the city streets into a colorful celebration of tradition, history, and community pride.
Monster Bulls Returns for an Action-Packed Night
The excitement continues later that same day with the 15th Annual Monster Bulls, set for Saturday, February 14, at 7:30 p.m.
Dedicated exclusively to bull riding, Monster Bulls showcases some of the biggest and most powerful bulls in the Silver Spurs stock. Fearless cowboys take on the ultimate eight-second challenge in a high-intensity competition that highlights the athleticism, grit, and instinct of both rider and animal — delivering one of the most anticipated nights of the rodeo season.
156th Silver Spurs Rodeo Follows Parade Weekend
Rodeo action rolls on the following week with the 156th Silver Spurs Rodeo, held every third weekend in February and recognized as one of Osceola County’s longest-running sporting traditions.
The 2026 rodeo performances are scheduled for:
-
Thursday, February 19 at 7:30 p.m.
-
Friday, February 20 at 7:30 p.m.
-
Saturday, February 21 at 7:30 p.m.
-
Sunday, February 22 at 2:00 p.m.
Sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA), the Silver Spurs Rodeo is widely regarded as one of the premier indoor rodeos in the country. Contestants from across the nation compete in all seven traditional rodeo events — bull riding, bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, team roping, tie-down roping, and barrel racing — vying for recognition and prize money.
Rodeo Action Continues Throughout the Year
The Silver Spurs Rodeo season extends well beyond February, offering additional opportunities for fans to experience rodeo action throughout 2026.
The 157th Silver Spurs Rodeo returns during the summer with performances scheduled for:
-
Friday, June 5 at 7:30 p.m.
-
Saturday, June 6 at 7:30 p.m.
Later in the year, the Silver Spurs Club will host Boots, Bulls and Barrels on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. The event highlights two of rodeo’s most popular competitions — bull riding and barrel racing — as cowboys and cowgirls compete for cash prizes in a fast-paced, high-energy setting.
Giving Back Remains at the Heart of the Silver Spurs Mission
While the Silver Spurs Rodeo is known for its action inside the arena, the organization’s impact reaches far beyond competition nights. The Silver Spurs Club maintains a strong focus on service, education, and community investment across Osceola County.
Through its charitable efforts, the club has awarded $51,000 in scholarships, donated more than $467,000 back into the community, and supported over 50 local non-profit organizations. Those contributions reflect a long-standing commitment to strengthening local programs, supporting youth opportunities, and reinvesting in the community that has supported the Silver Spurs for generations.
From parade routes to rodeo arenas and charitable initiatives throughout the year, the Silver Spurs Rodeo’s 2026 season reflects more than a schedule of events — it represents a continuing tradition rooted in competition, connection, and community pride across Osceola County.
