The RAM National Circuit Finals Rodeo, which runs April 8-10 at Osceola Heritage Park, will thank and honor as the “Partner of the Year” a new member to the Osceola County Community, SkyWater Technology.

SkyWater has been an enthusiastic newcomer to our community and its team has not hesitated in embracing our traditions. We are so grateful for their partnership and contributions to our community. This supportive attitude is an important benefit to our economic development partnership at NeoCity. A committed partner brings a lot to the table and SkyWater has shown this commitment. We look forward to a prosperous future as we continue to grow NeoCity together.

Brandon Arrington

Chairman, Osceola County Board of County Commissioners

The County Commission will honor Thomas Sonderman, President and Chief Executive Officer of SkyWater Technology – the only U.S.-owned and U.S.-based pure play semiconductor foundry in NeoCity — on April 10th at the 1:30 p.m. performance of the RAM National Circuit Finals Rodeo.

SkyWater, which specializes in the development and manufacturing of integrated circuits, recently took over the operation of the Center of Neovation from the University of Central Florida.

“We are honored to receive the Partner of the Year 2021 from Osceola County for our commitment and contributions to this great community,” said Sonderman. “We look forward to growing our industry and partnering with Osceola County for years to come.”

SkyWater’s contributions and agreement with Osceola County will run through October 2044, and include:
· Operating the Center of Neovation to its full potential
· The resumption of BRIDG as a non-profit
· The investment of millions of dollars into NeoCity
· Applying for the proposed new Federal Advanced Packaging National Manufacturing Institute
· Creation of an estimated 220 jobs at the Center for Neovation in the next five years
