In a spirited display of community policing and engagement, officers from the City of St. Cloud Police Department visited the City of St. Cloud Parks & Recreation Summer Camp on Friday for a lively water gun and water balloon battle. The event aimed to build positive relationships between law enforcement and the local youth.
To boost their chances in the friendly showdown, St. Cloud PD along with Chief Douglas Goerke, enlisted the help of Trooper Steve from News 6 WKMG / ClickOrlando along with Council Members Ken Gilbert and Shawn Fletcher who also joined the fun.
Equipped with super soakers, squirt guns, and a vast arsenal of water balloons, participants on both sides enthusiastically engaged in the friendly battle, giving it their all.
Despite a difference of opinion about who emerged with the win, the friendly summer water battle was fun for all, filled with laughter, camaraderie, and memory-making, and gave the St. Cloud Police Department an opportunity to showcase the lighter side of policing and community service.
