The St. Cloud Police Department is celebrating National Public Safety Telecommunications Week, this week until April 20, 2019. This special week is designed to celebrate and honor the men and women who respond to emergency calls, dispatch emergency professionals and equipment, and render life saving assistance to the citizens of the City of St. Cloud.
National Public Safety Telecommunications Week is sponsored by the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) and celebrated annually.
The St. Cloud Police Department Communications Center is staffed by twenty-six (26) full-time and four (4) part-time Telecommunication Operators. This staff handles over 65,000 9-1-1 and non-emergency telephone calls each year. The Telecommunications Operators dispatch all Law Enforcement, Fire and EMS services for the City of St. Cloud.
Thank you to all of these men and women who help make a positive difference in St. Cloud and Osceola County. Please join the St. Cloud Police Department in celebrating and recognizing the Telecommunications Operators from the St. Cloud Police Department for their dedication and commitment to Public Safety.
