The St. Cloud Police Department is asking Tohoqua residents if they’ve had packages stolen from their homes recently after a recent string of reported burglaries and package thefts in the community.

St. Cloud PD received tips on Wednesday that a number of packages that were reported stolen in Tohoqua had been spotted outside a home on Good Neighbor Rd. Residents shared doorbell or home security cameras footage that showed what appeared to be three juveniles, on bikes or scooters, roaming the neighborhood in the areas where the thefts were reported.

St. Cloud officers surveilled the area overnight and spotted three suspects in the neighborhood burglarizing a construction trailer.  St. Cloud Police used a K-9 unit and drones to assist the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office STAR helicopter, which ended with one of the three male suspects was taken into custody.

Based on information from the first captured suspect, a search warrant was carried out that resulted in the recovery of several stolen items; including electronics, debit/credit cards, and more.

This remains an open investigation, with multiple charges pending. The Department of Children and Families has been contacted due to the involvement of juveniles.

St. Cloud PD says it’s working to recover and return as much of the stolen property as possible and ask that any residents in and around the Tohoqua community that believe they may have been a victim of theft or burglary recently to make contact with the department either by calling (407) 891-6741, or anonymously by calling CRIMELINE at (407) 423-TIPS (8477).
