The qualifying period for the City of St. Cloud special election runs from noon on Monday, July 19, through noon on Friday, July 23 at the Supervisor of Elections Office, 2509 E. Irlo Bronson Hwy. in Kissimmee. The hours on July 20, 21, and 22 are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The City is holding a special election to fill the unexpired term of Seat 3, which was held by Council Member Charles E. “Chuck” Cooper, who passed away on June 12. The person who wins the special election will hold the seat for the remainder of the unexpired term, which ends in 2024.
The special election will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 9, with a primary election on Oct. 5, if necessary.
