For the first time in 24 hours, the Florida Department of Health released an update on COVID-19 cases this morning, and the news was as good as it possibly could have been for Osceola County:

No. New. Cases.

Osceola’s tallies for cases (463), fatalities (7) and hospitalizations (129) remained unchanged from Saturday morning, the last time an update came out. Even Orange County, which has over 1,300 cases, added only 17 cases, one of its better 24-hour periods in weeks.

The entire state of Florida added 689 cases in that time, up to 31,528 cases, and 1,074 deaths.

We will watch for the evening Florida DOH update around 5:30 p.m. — if there is one.
