Thanks to SunRail and a partnership with the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens, the City of Sanford, and the Sanford Community Redevelopment Agency, you can travel by “Choo-Choo” to the Zoo and Historic Downtown Sanford this summer for FREE. Grab a shuttle from the Sanford SunRail station to the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens and receive a 20% discount on zoo admission OR the Seminole Arial Adventures Rainforest Course or Upland Course (Kids Course not included).
This special offer starts tomorrow, Monday, June 3 and runs through Friday, August 9, 2019, with the shuttle times available from 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM.
Here is how you can plan your trip:
- View the Schedule for Train Times
- Ride to the Sanford station
- Show your SunCard or SunRail ticket to the shuttle driver
- Present your SunCard or SunRail ticket to the zoo ticket window for a 20% admission or Seminole Arial Adventures discount
- Check the Choo-Choo to the Zoo shuttle stop at zoo entrance for return times and the Schedule for train times

Remember the Sunrail does not run on the weekends so be sure to double check for the train times to and from the Sanford station and give yourself plenty of time to get back for that last mid-afternoon train.
