Hope Partnership, Inc. an Osceola County organization committed to empowering neighbors, strengthening our community, and building hope, will host a reception at their downtown Kissimmee location, Hope Commons, to celebrate its 10th anniversary on Apr 11 from 5:30 pm to 7 pm.

For the last 10 years Hope Partnership and its entities have worked with our neighbors experiencing homelessness and poverty in Central Florida. Starting with the idea that the mission would serve 200 families annually, the organization ended up helping over 1,000 their very first year. From their beginnings as a two-person operation consisting of Founder and Chief Executive Officer Rev. Mary Lee Downey, and Chief Development Officer Angie Rench, the organization now has a team of almost 30. Since opening, Hope Partnership has served over 100,000 heartbeats with housing, food, clothing, and a variety of services including Identification, employment, and case management.

“I could not have told you ten years ago that we would have been in this place or would have served this many individuals,” said Rev. Downey. “I continue to be amazed at how our team of trauma-informed professionals step into the gap with those who are seeking a safe place to call home, and help them find it.” In addition to the reception to commemorate the milestone, Hope Partnership will begin its 10 years, 10 days, 10K fundraising campaign starting April 11.

Hope Partnership, Inc. will host a ribbon cutting for its Hope Commons facility, located at 122 West Sproul Ave in downtown Kissimmee on June 2nd at 10 am. The new facility will be a centralized location for all Hope Partnership programs as well as a co-location for other not-for-profit organizations. Positively Osceola will be LIVE on Facebook for the ribbon cutting ceremony.

Hope Commons is located on the campus of First United Methodist Church of Kissimmee, bringing together Hope Partnership’s goal of partnering with churches
and community organizations.

Along with the Hope Partnership programs (Hope Center, Hope Works, and IDignity Osceola), three other nonprofits, Habitat for Humanity, iBuild, and Helping Hands Community Counseling will have offices in the shared space — with room for more tenants in the future.

“As both the CEO of Hope Partnership and a UMC Pastor, I am so excited to reimagine this building at FUMC-Kissimmee,” said Rev. Mary Lee Downey. “Co-location of services has always been the key to our mission of empowering our neighbors, strengthening our community and building hope. Having all our services in one downtown location gets us closer to our collective goal of making sure everyone has a safe place to call home.”
