Toho Water Authority has announced the temporary closure to thru traffic on W. Emmett Street starting beginning today, October 30, at approximately 9 a.m. for a sewer rehabilitation project. During the site preparation activities, the road closure will occur between S. Alden Street and S. Lilly Street. As of Monday, November 2, the road closure will also include the intersection of W. Emmett Street and S. Alden Street (please see map).

The project is expected to be completed and the road reopened by Friday evening, November 13. Schedules could vary according to weather and other unforeseen circumstances.

Motorists and pedestrians are urged to use caution when approaching these areas, as workers will be present and speed limits may be reduced and sidewalks possibly closed and diverted. Driveways will remain accessible during the road closure. Signage will be placed as needed to keep the traveling public informed of the project.
