Toho Water Authority has welcomed its new Director of Human Resources, Karen Rentz, to oversee the Human Resources Department, which has the responsibility of driving key human resources and risk management practices to the organization and its employees.

“I’m thrilled to be able to foster robust HR strategies for Toho as a utility that provides essential services for the community it serves,” said Rentz.

With more than 25 years of human resources experience, Rentz has extensive experience in employee relations, talent acquisition and performance management. She specializes in planning, implementing, and managing HR services and has additional experience during hurricanes and other types of disasters. Her previous roles include serving as Director at the University of West Florida, Vice President of Human Resources at Lifeguard Transportation Services, and Recruiting Manager at MetLife Financial Services.

Rentz received her bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts from the University of West Florida in Pensacola and a master’s degree in Human Resource Management from Troy State University in Dothan, Alabama.
