A man who was laying on train tracks early Sunday morning in Kissimmee, was run over and killed by a train that was heading southbound as it approached Carroll St. west of Michigan Avenue, according to FHP.

Florida Highway Patrol says that the man had his head on the railroad track when the train ran him over. It is unknown whether the man was sleeping when he was hit.

The train came to a complete stop on East Donegan Avenue after striking the man. There were two occupants on the train at the time of the crash, the engineer and conductor. Neither were injured, and the incident is under investigation.
