The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office has arrested two individuals in connection to an April 26 robbery at the Red Lion Hotel in Kissimmee after a victim was lured under false pretenses through an online meetup.
According to investigators, the victim traveled to Kissimmee to meet a woman he knew only as “Amber,” a contact he had made online. After spending the evening together, the two returned to his hotel room located at 5150 W. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway. However, the night quickly turned alarming.
While inside the room, the woman opened the exterior door and allowed a man wearing a ski mask to enter. Deputies say the masked man kept his hands near his waistband, implying he was armed, while “Amber” took the victim’s wallet, phone, and keys from his pockets. She then demanded the PINs to his debit cards. Fearing for his safety, the victim complied.
Roughly 15 minutes later, “Amber” returned with the stolen items and left with the masked suspect. Upon checking his bank account, the victim discovered $2,180 had been withdrawn during the encounter.
Detectives identified “Amber” as 29-year-old Amandalee Kasilowski. She was arrested on May 6 and faces charges including Unarmed Home Invasion, Kidnapping to Facilitate a Felony, Robbery without a Firearm, and Credit Card Fraud.
Further investigation led deputies to the male suspect, 25-year-old Iain Cade-Alamin Petrie. He was arrested on May 22 and charged with Unarmed Home Invasion, Kidnapping to Facilitate a Felony, and Robbery without a Firearm.
The sheriff’s office confirmed that this was an isolated incident and the investigation remains ongoing.
