A fatal shooting took place early Tuesday morning at the Rapallo apartment complex on Marta Circle in Kissimmee, just south of Osceola Parkway. Osceola County Sheriff Marcos Lopez reported that deputies responded to the scene and found three men with gunshot wounds.
One man was pronounced dead at the scene, while another was taken to the hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The third individual, labeled a person of interest, was discovered in the bushes and transported to the hospital for treatment.
Sheriff Lopez confirmed that the incident appears to be isolated, with the individuals involved being known to each other. “The individuals that came here to engage in this altercation were not from this area,” Lopez stated. “The individual who passed away had recently moved in, and we have no history of similar altercations at this location.”
The sheriff indicated that the shooting may be drug-related, based on evidence found at the scene. “It was basically a shootout, like the O.K. Corral” Lopez explained. “It’s crazy because there are a lot of residents here. Thank God there was hardly anyone outside during the incident.”
The victims have not been publicly identified but are reported to be men in their 20s to 30s.
The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
