The UCF Knights football team has once again moved upward in the national polls, rising as high as 13th in the AP Top 25 Poll Sunday.

The Knights moved up three spots in the poll, passing Mississippi State, Virginia Tech and Oklahoma State, and totaling 727 points. UCF is the highest ranked team in the state of Florida and the only ranked team in the American Athletic Conference.

In the Amway Coaches Poll, UCF jumped four spots, moving from 18th to 14th. The Knights rose above TCU in addition to the three teams from the AP Poll. The Knights received 705 total points from the coaches this week.

At No. 13 and No. 14 in the two polls, it marks just the second time in program history that the Knights have been ranked inside the Top 15 in the nation during the season. Last year, UCF rose as high as 10th before the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl.

Following Friday’s win over FAU, the Knights have won 16 straight games, dating back to the start of the 2017 season. It’s the longest win streak in the nation, the longest in program history and the longest in American Athletic Conference history.

UCF will return to Spectrum Stadium this weekend, hosting Pittsburgh Saturday at 3:30 p.m. The game between the Knights and the Panthers will air on ESPNU and FM 96.9/AM 740 The Game.
