On April 13, 2019, detectives with the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office Robbery Unit, Gang Unit, and Tourist Policing Unit arrested Jorge Luis Santiago-Collazo for his involvement in three separated armed robberies which occurred along the West 192 corridor. Jorge Santiago-Collazo was targeting victims along 192, either while waiting at the bus stop or along businesses.
During one of the robberies, Jorge stabbed the victim with a knife. The victim in the robbery was treated and released from the hospital with non-life threatening wounds. Osceola detectives were able to identify the suspect as Jorge Santiago-Collazo and was later arrested in the area of Old Vineland Road and 192.
Detectives were also able to locate and identify items in Jorge’s possession to link him back to the reported robberies. Jorge is currently being held with no bond at the Osceola County Department of Corrections on armed robbery charges.
