Through the St. Cloud Fire Rescue’s ongoing efforts to provide the best service to the citizens, businesses, surrounding areas, and visitors, they have officially placed an additional fulltime Rescue in service as of April 15, 2019. There are now four (4) fulltime transport units located within the city limits.

This accomplishment is the result of a yearlong effort between the St. Cloud Fire Department and the City Council working together involving statistical analysis and community needs based assessments due to a significant increase in calls for service. The increase in calls for service has ultimately prompted the St. Cloud Fire Rescue Department to apply for the Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG – Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response: SAFER). In result, the city was awarded, six (6) additional Firefighters to assist with operational staffing to increase service through the SAFER grant.

With the new transport unit and the additional Firefighters St. Cloud Fire Rescue can continue to provide outstanding service to the City of St. Cloud and surrounding areas.
