Do you want to show off St. Cloud through pictures? We’re talking about the St. Cloud that you see every day about town – by the lakefront, downtown, south of town, east of town – your town.
If you have some photo skills, you can enter the city’s 2019 Photography Contest. In preparation for Florida City Government Week in October, this year’s contest will celebrate St. Cloud from the perspective of residents and students.
From now until Nov. 1, Residents can submit photos, provided they are taken within the St. Cloud city limits – which run roughly from the Turnpike to Narcoossee Road/Old Hickory Tree Road up to Rummell Road and include the south shore of East Lake Toho and the lakefront area, south the to the Deer Creek neighborhoods along Canoe Creek Road, including the neighborhoods around Royal St. Cloud Golf Links.
Each contestant may submit one photograph in each of the four categories: Simply St. Cloud (the best snaps from around the city, can come from your phone), Nature Walk (best nature or landscape photograph), Creative Edits (anything goes, fire up Photoshop or Lightroom and add your artistic flair) and Place In the Cloud (un-posed, candid shots of people interacting with other people or the environment).
The grand prize is a Nikon COOLPIX B500 digital camera, and all finalists’ and winning photos will also be showcased at City Hall. For more information, including contest rules and how to enter just go to St. Cloud’s website here!
