The 154th Silver Spurs Rodeo, held from February 20 to 23, once again delivered high-energy action, drawing fans both old and new to the Silver Spurs Arena. The excitement kicked off with the Silver Spurs Rodeo Parade on Saturday February 15, which rode back into the downtown streets of St. Cloud, thrilling rodeo fans who live in and around St. Cloud and Osceola County, as well as visitors experiencing Osceola’s deep-rooted love for rodeo. The parade set the stage for an unforgettable rodeo weekend, blending tradition, community pride, and thrilling competition.
Featuring bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, team roping, tie-down roping, barrel racing, and the fan-favorite bull riding, the Silver Spurs Rodeo once again lived up to its reputation as the largest professional rodeo east of the Mississippi.
The addition of a Thursday night rodeo performance—free for Osceola students—marked a historic expansion in response to increasing demand. This move allowed more families and young rodeo fans to experience the thrill of the Silver Spurs Rodeo firsthand, fostering the next generation of rodeo enthusiasts.
The 14th Monster Bulls event, that followed the morning’s Silver Spurs Parade held on February 15, showcased some of the toughest bulls and most fearless riders in the sport. With sold-out crowds, the event reaffirmed bull riding’s place as one of the most electrifying rodeo events. Fans cheered as riders tested their skill and endurance against the strength of world-class bulls, making for an unforgettable night of heart-pounding competition.
A Legacy of Giving…
The Silver Spurs Rodeo is more than a showcase of cowboy grit and skill—it is a pillar of generosity within Osceola County. As the region grows and changes, the Silver Spurs Riding Club remains deeply rooted in its mission to give back to the community.
This year, the club’s spirit of giving was on full display through a series of meaningful donations to organizations making a difference in Osceola County. During the Monster Bulls event, the club extended its support to the Howard Phillips Center, an organization providing essential services to children and families in need. The giving continued throughout the 154th Silver Spurs Rodeo, reinforcing the club’s dedication to both the sport and the community it serves.
With the addition of a free student night on Thursday, February 20, the Silver Spurs Riding Club ensured that local youth had the opportunity to experience the magic of rodeo, deepening their connection to Osceola County’s rich Western heritage. Over the course of the weekend, the club presented donations to the Osceola School District’s Agricultural Programs, Fostering Our Future, Beyond Pregnancy Care, and Give Kids the World Village, each receiving $10,000 to continue their vital work in the community. These contributions reflect the club’s unwavering commitment to making a positive impact—not just in the arena, but in the lives of those who call Osceola County home.
For 81 years, the Silver Spurs Riding Club has championed both rodeo excellence and charitable giving, standing as one of the most benevolent nonprofit organizations in the region. As the dust settles from another incredible rodeo weekend, one thing is clear—the heart of the Silver Spurs is as strong as ever.
