A 17-year-old boy was shot outside of a Publix store near Celebration Wednesday afternoon, and the shooter is still at-large, according to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.
The shooting took place in the parking lot outside of the Publix that is part of the Water Tower Shoppes Plaza off of Celebration Avenue near US192.
According to investigators, the 17-year-old got into a fight with the shooter, who then shot the teen twice hitting him in the back.
The boy is expected to survive but refused to reveal the shooter’s name to the Sheriff’s Office, according to Osceola County Sheriff Marco Lopez, who also said this is an isolated incident and the public is not in any additional danger.
