A 29-year-old St. Cloud man is dead after a car turned directly into the path of the motorcycle he was driving in Orange County Sunday evening.
According to FHP, a Nissan Altima was driving eastbound on Wetherbee Road in the left turn lane approaching the intersection of Balcombe Road while a man from St. Cloud man was approaching the same intersection westbound riding his motorcycle. The driver of the car began making a left hand turn and entered directly into the path of the motorcyclist who was also turning into the intersection.
The motorcyclist struck the side of the car causing him to run off the road. The man driving the motorcycle was transported by first responders to Advent Hospital Kissimmee where he was pronounced dead. The 56-year-old woman from Orlando driving the car was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
