Osceola County Realtors come together to care for our community’s precious waterways!

Recently, the REALTORS® Care Committee, part of the Osceola County Association of Realtors, partnered with the City of Kissimmee and the City of St. Cloud to select areas of the county that would benefit the most from the Association’s clean-up effort. More than 50 volunteers registered for the effort and the teams were divided between two locations in Osceola County. At the end of the project, the Association’s volunteers collected 420 pounds of trash.

“The members of the Osceola County Association of REALTORS® is committed to keeping the local waterways clean so we can protect and preserve it for us – and future generations. Healthy communities need healthy lakes, and it’s encouraging to see so many people across the state pitching in to protect their waterways,” said Osceola County Association of REALTORS® Board President, Alexandra Arena-Gil.

The purpose of the REALTORS® Care Committee is to seek, develop and promote opportunities for the Osceola County Association of REALTORS® and its’ members to be engaged in the community. The committee identifies opportunities and encourages involvement from REALTORS® in order to make a strong, positive impact in the community.

REALTORS® across Florida are doing their part in keeping our precious waterways clean as they take part in Florida Realtors®’ Clean Up Florida’s Waters project throughout the month. The statewide push encourages REALTORS® and residents to join forces to pick up trash and clean the state’s lakes, rivers, streams, retention ponds, bays, Intracoastal Waterway, Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic Ocean.
