Every Christmas Eve, Cocoa Beach in Florida transforms into a festive surf zone for the annual Surfing Santas event. This unique gathering, now in its 15th year, attracts hundreds of surfers, all dressed up as Santa Claus, elves, snowmen, and less…  to ride the waves in holiday style. The event, free and open to the public, starts early in the morning and continues until noon, creating a spectacle of joy and community spirit.

The day kicks off at 7:30 a.m. at Downtown Cocoa Beach near Minutemen Causeway, with activities centered around Coconuts On the Beach. Participants and spectators can enjoy live music, a costume contest, and, of course, the thrilling sight of Santas surfing the waves. The event, far from being just a surfing spectacle, has grown into a beloved tradition for both locals and visitors, encapsulating the unique, laid-back vibe of Cocoa Beach.

Surfing Santas not only serves as a fun and festive gathering but also represents the spirit of the community coming together during the holiday season. It’s a distinctive blend of beach culture and Christmas cheer, making it a must-see event for anyone in the area during the holiday.

Surfing Santas Cocoa Beach takes great pride in helping those in need. With every piece of Surfing Santas Swag sold Surfing Santas has raised over $300,000 for local charities.
