A woman was found critically injured on the side of the road after a hit-and-run crash in Osceola County early Friday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the 39-year-old woman was found around 7:05 a.m. on Vineland Road (SR 535) near Kyngs Heath Road.

According to an FHP crash report, a vehicle was traveling north on Vineland Road when it struck the pedestrian who was standing or walking in the northbound lane.

The woman was taken to HCA Florida Osceola with life-threatening injuries.

FHP believes that the crash happened before sunrise Friday morning and it is currently looking for a white Honda sedan that may have beeninvolved.
