Osceola County Animal Services is asking for the public’s help to find a dog connected to an attack on a resident near Cornerstone Church Tuesday morning.

If the dog is not found so it can be taken into quarantine, the woman may have to undergo post exposure rabies vaccinations. Animal Services officials are also concerned there could be another attack if the dog remains at large.

The woman was walking her dog in front of the church, 2915 Canoe Creek Road, when a medium-sized black, short-haired dog with floppy ears approached her. When she reached down to pick up her dog, the black dog attacked her. She sustained injuries on her face and both arms. The attack occurred at approximately 10:20 a.m. on Tuesday.

Animal Services officers in the area since the attack have not been able to locate the dog but they continuing patrolling the area. If you see the dog, you should not approach but call 407-742-8000, option No. 4.



Departamento de Servicios para Animales del Condado de Osceola busca ayuda del público

El Departamento de Servicios para Animales del Condado de Osceola está solicitando la ayuda del público para encontrar un perro conectado a un ataque a residente que se dio el martes en la mañana cerca de la iglesia Cornerstone.

Si el perro no es encontrado, la mujer atacada pudiera tener que someterse al tratamiento contra la rabia. Los oficiales de Servicios para Animales también están preocupados de que podría haber otro ataque si el perro no se encuentra.

La mujer estaba caminando a su perro en frente de la iglesia, ubicada en el 2915 Canoe Creek Road, cuando un perro negro de tamaño mediano, pelo corto con orejas caídas se acercó a ella.  Cuando se acercó a recoger a su perro, el perro negro la atacó. Ella sufrió heridas en la cara y en los dos brazos. El ataque ocurrió el martes aproximadamente a las 10:20 a.m.

Desde el ataque los oficiales de Servicios para Animales no han podido localizar el perro pero continúan patrullando el área.  Si ve el perro, no se acerque, llame al 407-742-8000, No. 4.
