The Association of Poinciana Villages (APV) is excited to announce their annual Halloween Annual Trunk or Treat Halloween celebration and Fall Fest will be held Saturday, October 26, 2019 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. in the Activity Campus Parking Lot located at 445 Marigold Avenue in Poinciana.

During this event, residents will volunteer to decorate their vehicle with a Halloween theme of their choosing and give away candy to the kids who attend. Last year’s event had more than 1,000 attendees and about 40 trunks. APV is still accepting volunteers for this year’s festivities.

This free, family-friendly event, which is open to APV residents and the public, will provide a safe and fun environment for children to trick or treat. Children should dress up in their favorite Halloween costume so they can parade through the line of decorated cars and receive their treats. There will be a DJ playing music and organizing games with the kids, plus a photo opportunity for families. For those who are brave enough to enter, the Poinciana Community Center will be transformed into the “House of Clowns” haunted house. The house opens at 7 p.m. and admission is $1. The “House of Clowns” is not recommended for small children.

Those who are interested in participating in the decorating and candy giveaway should arrive by 4 p.m. to start decorating their trunk. A prize will also be awarded for the best decorated trunk. To volunteer and register your vehicle, please contact LifeStyles Director Liz Wargo at liz.wargo@fsresidential.com. The LifeStyles Department is also looking for volunteers to work the Haunted House.
The event goes on rain or shine.

Should wet weather become an issue, the event will be moved inside the APV Fitness Center Gymnasium and tables will be setup in place of the trunks.

The Annual Trunk or Treat is just one of the many major events APV hosts throughout the year for residents and community members. Other events include the Poinciana Beautiful Awards Gala, the Independence Day Fireworks Spectacular, and the Christmas Parade and Winter Festival.
