Valencia College will commemorate the 20th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks with a virtual tribute on Friday, Sept. 10 at 10 am. It will include messages from representatives of local first responder agencies, elected officials and Valencia students.
Valencia’s Osceola campus lawn is once again displaying 2,977 flags, one flag for each person who died on September 11, 2001. The flags will remain up for two weeks and is open to the community as a place for personal reflection on the scale of the loss in the attacks on the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and on the passengers aboard a hijacked plane that crashed in a field near Shanksville, Penn.
