Boggy Creek Airboat Adventures, known for its thrilling airboat rides and authentic glimpses of ‘Real Florida,’ is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a new chapter under the ownership of KP Adventures LLC, an Orlando-based company led by local entrepreneur Chris Park.
A native of Orlando, Park was captivated by the property’s unique allure—34 acres of untouched natural lakefront beauty, located just 35 minutes from Disney, nestled in the heart of Osceola County and offering visitors an escape into the state’s natural beauty.
“Being a part of something so special and so uncommon, offering exciting airboat rides in view of natural wildlife and among 200-year-old live oak trees is why I was so excited about buying this company,” Park exclaimed. “Our 30-year-old best in class business in travel and tourism includes 62 outstanding employees and 12 U.S. Coast Guard certified airboat captains.”
A 1992 Rollins College graduate, Park plans to expand the attraction by investing $19.5 million to build a 50-60 unit high-end glamping resort, with completion expected within the next 12 to 18 months. “This investment will further solidify our local footprint and position us at the forefront of the luxury glamping trend,” Park explained.
Park’s wife Kristy, also a Rollins College alumna, shares in his vision for the park’s future. Together, they are raising two high schoolers and a college student.
Founded in 1994, Boggy Creek Airboat Adventures has provided visitors with Real Natural Florida airboat tours in search of the American alligator. The park also offers a variety of experiences, including an on-site BBQ restaurant, a Butterfly Exhibit, a Tiki Bar, Gem Mining, and a separately ticketed Native American Village, where visitors can learn how indigenous peoples survived in the swamp. Boggy Creek is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., offering a range of activities including corporate outings, birthday parties, educational programs, weddings, sunset tours, and nighttime airboat rides.
