A St. Cloud man is in custody following a late-night argument with his fiancé that tragically escalated into violence. Just before 1 a.m. this morning, St. Cloud Police were dispatched to Western Sun Drive after reports of a shooting. Once on the scene officers made contact with 57-year-old Timothy Hyder, then discovered Hyder’s fiancé, Natalie Du’Mee, dead on the back patio of their home. A handgun was located in plain sight on the kitchen counter.
“Our hearts go out to the victim and her loved ones during this unimaginably difficult time.” said St. Cloud Police Chief Douglas Goerke. “If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic violence, there are resources to support you. Reach out to a trusted friend, family member, or a local domestic violence hotline. You are not alone.”
Hyder was arrested without incident and remains in custody as detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding Du’Mee’s death. The case remains active, and authorities are continuing to gather information.
