As COVID-19 infections continue to spread across Florida, the United States and much of the world, the CDC has announced that is has renewed and extended its no sail order for cruise ships by at least 100 days.

The order put in place originally on March 30 was supposed to extend for 30 days and was initiated because the CDC director believed that cruise ship travel would play a substantial role in transmitting COVID-19.

The no sail order will continue until the Secretary of Health and Human Services no longer considers COVID-19 a public health emergency, the CDC director rescinds or modifies the order, or 100 days pass.
