The 152nd edition of the Silver Spurs Rodeo, held from February 15th through 18th at the Silver Spurs Arena in Kissimmee, was a landmark event that celebrated tradition, community, and compassion for its 80th year.

This year’s rodeo kicked off with a newly introduced “Family Night” on Thursday, offering all seven traditional rodeo events—ranging from Bull Riding to Saddle Bronc Riding and Barrel Racing. In an inclusive gesture, free admission was extended to all Osceola students, ensuring the community’s youngest members could enjoy the festivities.

As the largest professional rodeo east of the Mississippi, the event continued with evening performances on Friday and Saturday, and a Sunday afternoon session. The rodeo demonstrated its commitment to inclusivity by hosting a Special Rodeo on Sunday, tailored for children with special needs. This unique event allowed them and their families to experience the thrill of rodeo hands-on, creating unforgettable memories on the arena dirt.

Further emphasizing its role in the community, the Silver Spurs Rodeo presented a generous donation of $2,500 each to Harmony’s Future Farmers of America, The Russell Home, and The Lifeboat Project, showcasing its dedication to giving back.

The rodeo also celebrated the achievements of its participants with impressive results across various events:

  • All-around cowboy: Jobe Johns took home $4,834, excelling in tie-down roping and team roping.
  • Bareback Riding: Ethan Crouch led with 83.5 points on Silver Spurs Club’s Nina, winning $4,442.
  • Steer Wrestling: Cody Devers and Chance Howard tied for first, completing their runs in 3.4 seconds.
