As of today, the national average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline stands at $3.53, reflecting a trend of gradually increasing fuel costs. This national figure is closely mirrored by the state of Florida, where drivers are currently paying an average of $3.59 per gallon. In Osceola County, the prices are slightly higher, with the average cost for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline reaching $3.61.

“Uncertainty of the impact of Ukraine’s targeting of Russia’s oil infrastructure likely spiked oil prices recently,” said Andrew Gross, AAA spokesperson, in the press release. “But those concerns have abated somewhat for now, and gas prices are settling into a pattern similar to last year when the usual seasonal increase was slow and steady.”

For consumers, these figures are a reminder of the ever-changing landscape of fuel economics, influenced by both global and local economic conditions. Drivers are encouraged to stay informed about the latest gas price trends as they plan their travel and manage their fuel consumption in the weeks ahead.
