The Central Florida Expressway Authority has announced road and ramp closures associated with the State Road 417/Central Florida GreeneWay Capacity Improvements project for next week. See below for details: 

• Sunday, March 19, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.: Orange Blossom Trail under SR 417 will be closed for bridge work. Northbound drivers will be directed onto Town Center Boulevard and southbound drivers will be directed onto Whisper Lakes Boulevard or Deerfield Boulevard. Please follow detour signs. • Sunday, March 19 to Thursday, March 23, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.: Orange Avenue under SR 417 will be closed for bridge work. Northbound drivers will be directed onto Town Center Boulevard and southbound drivers will be directed onto Wetherbee Road. Please follow detour signs. Click here for the detour map. 

• Monday, March 20, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.: The ramp from northbound SR 417 to John Young Parkway (Exit 10) will be closed for sign work. Drivers will be directed to continue north on SR 417 to the Orange Blossom Trail exit (Exit 11) and follow the detour signs. Click here for the detour map. 

Please allow extra travel time. Due to weather and other unforeseen circumstances, work could be delayed. Motorists are urged to use caution in the construction area for their safety and that of the work crews. 

This work is for a capacity improvements project on SR 417 from International Drive to SR 528/Martin B. Andersen Beachline Expressway, which started in February 2021 and is expected to be complete by summer 2024.
