The Central Florida Expressway Authority has announced overnight ramp closures associated with the State Road 417 Capacity Improvements project scheduled for next week. See below for details:

  • Sunday, April 28, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.: The ramp from Orange Blossom Trail/US 441 to southbound SR 417 will be closed overnight for road work. During this time, drivers will be directed to travel south on Orange Blossom Trail/US 441 to Town Center Boulevard.
  • Sunday, April 28 to Tuesday, April 30, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.: The ramp from southbound SR 417 to Narcoossee Road (Exit 22) will be closed nightly for road work. During this time, drivers will be directed to continue south on SR 417 to Lake Nona Boulevard (Exit 19). Tolls associated with this detour will be suspended while it is in place.
  • Monday, April 29, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.: The ramp from southbound SR 417 to southbound John Young Parkway (Exit 10) will be closed overnight for road work. During this time, drivers will be directed to exit at Orange Blossom Trail/US 441 (Exit 11), travel south to Town Center Boulevard and west to John Young Parkway.
  • Monday, April 29, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.: The ramp from John Young Parkway to southbound SR 417 will be closed overnight for road work. During this time, drivers will be directed to travel north on SR 417 to Orange Blossom Trail/US 441 (Exit 11). Tolls on the ramp from John Young Parkway to northbound SR 417 will be suspended while it is in place.
  • Wednesday, May 1, and Thursday, May 2, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.: The ramp from Landstar Boulevard to northbound SR 417 will be closed overnight for road work. During this time, drivers will be directed to travel south on SR 417 to Orange Blossom Trail/US 441 (Exit 11). Tolls associated with this detour will be suspended while it is in place. Due to weather and other unforeseen circumstances, work could be prolonged or delayed. Motorists are urged to use caution in the construction area for their safety and that of the work crews.

This work is for a capacity improvements project on SR 417 from International Drive to SR 528 (Martin B. Andersen Beachline Expressway), which started in February 2021 and is expected to be complete by fall 2024.
