The City of Kissimmee is inviting residents and local stakeholders to attend a Community Open House on Wednesday, November 13 to discuss the future development of the Vine Street Community Redevelopment Area (CRA). This event offers an opportunity for the public to engage directly with city staff, share ideas, and gain insight into the proposed plans for this vital commercial corridor along US-192.
Two sessions will be held for convenience: the first from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Orange Gardens Community Center, located at 1114 George Street, and the second from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Osceola County Welcome Center, 4155 West Vine Street.
The Vine Street CRA focuses on a 5-mile stretch of the corridor, aiming to revitalize the area through strategic developments that enhance economic activity, accessibility, and aesthetic appeal. During the Open House, attendees can learn more about the proposed updates, ask questions, and offer feedback that will help shape the community’s vision for Vine Street’s future.
In addition to discussions on redevelopment, the event will feature free samples from local Vine Street restaurants, creating a family-friendly environment that showcases the culinary diversity and community spirit of the area.
This open house marks a key step in Kissimmee’s efforts to ensure that future developments reflect the needs and aspirations of its residents. Community input is encouraged, and city officials are looking forward to gathering valuable feedback to guide the redevelopment process.
