The City of St. Cloud has announced changes to its payment policies, effective January 1, 2025. Beginning on the first of the year, cash payments will no longer be accepted for any city services.
In addition, Toho Water Authority and OUC will discontinue accepting payments at City Hall, and the utility payment drop boxes will be permanently removed.
“This move aligns with industry practices, and enhances the safety of our employees,” said Finance Director Jeff Cooper. “Our staff is happy to provide our customers with information on alternate payment methods and to assist them in making the transition.”
The city offers online payment for many services and can accept other forms of payment in person. This affects all city departments including Community Development, Building Department, Procurement, Police Department, Code Enforcement, Public Works, and the Transfer Station.
Toho and OUC customers will be able to make utility payments at City Hall only with a credit/debit card at a computer kiosk in the walk-in center.
