District 1 Commissioner Peggy Choudhry is inviting Osceola County students to “Chalk Away Hate” during a glow-in-the-dark, anti-bullying event on Friday, August 27 from 7 pm to 10:30 pm.

This outdoor event will provide opportunities for students to create chalk images with positive messages that will be lit by blacklights to “glow” for the evening. Students will also have a chance to win laptops, computers, Apple watches, gift certificates, and other prizes.

Commissioner Choudhry, along with numerous other organizations and businesses are coming together to help share kindness and spread positive vibes for this school year. The Salvation Army will also provide prizes and other giveaways. Lunar Alliance (vsclunaralliance.com), will be capturing photos taken by the students to be sent to the moon in a future rocket launch.
Commissioner Choudhry will also welcome special guests — six-year-old TikTok influencer Kylee and her dad (@Cargo_Shorts_Dad), who have more than 3.4 million followers.

This free event will also feature a DJ and other live performers plus snacks and other free gifts throughout the evening.
