The Florida Department of Health released information on the two COVID-19 related fatalities the state agency reported Wednesday.

The two are females, ages 70 and 76, who passed away on April 26. Both are listed as having come in contact with a positive case. The average age of the county’s 11 coronavirus fatalities is now 72.2 years old.

Our warmest thoughts go to the families of all those who have lost a loved one, regardless of the circumstances, during this trying time in our community. On this National Day of Prayer, we also say a blessing for those of age and vulnerable to the virus, those who are caring for them, and all those affected by this virus.

At noontime Thursday, the DOH had yet to update new case and hospitalization information for the day.

On the testing front, AdventHealth has announced the last day for coronavirus testing at Osceola Heritage Park will be next Saturday, May 15. The location is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to noon.
