The spirit of the season will be alive and bright in downtown Kissimmee when the city hosts its annual tree lighting ceremony, marking the official kickoff of the holiday festivities. The event takes place on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. at Kissimmee City Hall, located at 101 Church Street in Kissimmee.
Family-Friendly Festivities
This free, family-oriented celebration offers a true holiday experience. Attendees will gather as the magnificent holiday tree is illuminated for the first time this year, an event set to light up downtown and bring together community families, friends and neighbours.
Live musical performances featuring seasonal favourites will fill the evening, and children—even the youngest guests—will have an opportunity to take free photos with Santa following the lighting ceremony.
A Downtown Holiday Tradition Begins
“This annual tree lighting is our way of bringing the community together and officially launching the holiday season in downtown Kissimmee,” said a city spokesperson. By arriving early, guests are encouraged to secure prime viewing spots and enjoy the ambience of downtown: consider visiting the local shops and restaurants before or after the ceremony to make a full evening of it.
The tree lighting also marks the start of the city’s broader Festival of Lights, which runs through January 6, 2026, and includes additional holiday-themed programs and community celebrations.
