There was some good news on the eve of Easter from the Florida Department of Health: Osceola County added no new COVID-19 cases or fatalities from the Saturday morning update, remaining at 317 cases and five deaths.

That brings the total amount of positive coronavirus cases in Florida to 18,986, with 446 deaths (an addition of 27 on Saturday), and 2,607 hospitalizations since March 1. All of Florida’s 67 counties now have at least one reported case.

While attending Easter church service is an annual tradition for many, it just doesn’t fit the CDC guidelines for social distancing and working to stop the spread of coronavirus. But dozens of local churches are streaming their services Sunday, so you can focus on the new life that comes with Easter over what the last six weeks have brought our community and country.
