First Lady Jill Biden will be on the road Thursday and stopping in Kissimmee to encourage those who have not been vaccinated with the COVID-19 vaccine to do so. The stop into Kissimmee is part of a tour through Florida that will begin in Orlando before heading to Osceola Community Health Services’ drive-through vaccination site in Kissimmee, the White House said Monday.
From there the First Lady will head to Tampa, where she is scheduled to join the Tampa Bay Lightning “Shots On Ice” vaccination event at AMALIE Arena.
The visit comes ahead of President Joe Biden’s July 4 goal of 70 percent of adults with at least one COVID-19 shot.
